Police holding Buruburu teenagers after insane overnight party

Police in Buruburu are holding teenagers Teenagers whom they arrested for attending an illegal but insane night party within the estate.

Officers raided the house where the minors were partying as they were planning to leave after members of the public raised the alarm.

Police say minors are expected to be arraigned in court and charged with contravening Covid-19 rules.

Buruburu police station boss, Adamson Bungei, asked parents whose children are missing to check with the station even as they continue with investigations,

 

“Investigations have started and we shall inform you more as soon as we get all the details,” he said.

The teenagers were making noise, drinking and dancing on Monday night which forced members of the public to alert them.

Officers spent the better part of Monday night laying a trap to arrest the teenagers but their efforts were in vain as the youths had locked themselves in the building.

The officers were forced to camp outside the building until morning when the teenagers opened the house door.

An amateur video doing rounds in social media showed how the police arrested and handcuffed the minors.

Some of the minors looked intoxicated with the median age being 13 years.

An eye witness who lives in the neighborhood said the teenagers numbered about 20 and they were holed up in a one-bedroom house where they were drinking and dancing without any care in the world.

” I saw something akin to the Sodom and Gomorrah, the kids locked themselves and were drinking alcohol and dancing to some music that was laced with lewd content and surely I wonder what kind of upbringing these teenagers have had.” said the eye witness who requested anonymity.
