The letter also indicates that the obsolete Kwekwe Squad killed 631 suspected robbers and 1869 Mungiki members with the writer claiming that he killed 40 of the targeted individuals.

With the payment, the group received a weekly allowance of Sh 25,000. Those who were responsible for carrying assassination of the prominent politicians pocketed Sh 150,000 each.

The police officers used the same tactics used by the Mungiki sect to finish them seamlessly.

“We tied their hands, legs, and necks and hung them on cars or trees until they die,” the latter sated.

The police officer also says that the president, Mwai Kibaki, and George Saitoti, the Internal Security minister was in the dark about the assassinations plans but used them to provide information in parliament.

“Prof George Saitoti and his PS Kimemia remained in the dark. However, the two used to issue reports and statements in Public Barazas and Parliament in support of police without knowing the ill motive of the information,” adds the letter.

At the time of their secret operation, police officers either died or disappeared mysteriously as George Saitoti and his shadow minister Orwa Ojode died in a dubious plane crash in 2012. Reports indicate that the minister and his assistance were assassinated.

To ensure the letter never seen by the targeted politicians, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) officers used protected post Offices to screen all the messages that were sent to MPs and other influential leaders.
