Photoshopped image of Uhuru watching Ruto on TV goes viral

Date:

A photoshopped image of President Uhuru Kenyatta watching his deputy William Ruto on an interview on Citizen TV went viral, with some Kenyans believing that the president had all the time to watch TV.

The photo confused a number of netizens, some amused at how keen the president was while watching the interview with others quickly identifying that the image had been altered.

sonkonews.com can reveal that the image was photoshopped from one where  president Uhuru Kenyatta had a virtual meeting with African leaders.

In the meeting, the head of state and other African leaders were discussing the Mali coup to demand the immediate release of President Boubacar Keita, who was seized by mutinying soldiers.

And back to the DP’s interview, the DP discussed a number of issues including; the constitution, wrangles in the jubilee party, sentiments he made about the system and the deep state and corruption among others.

The DP let the cat out of the bag saying that he is more than ready to jump ship from the ruling party, Jubilee Party ahead of 2022 when push comes to shove.

The DP added that he isn’t at “talking terms” with the President, Uhuru Kenyatta since the handshake in 2018 that saw him kicked to the curb out of the government’s crucial proceedings opened up like never before.
