DP Ruto is ready to leave Jubilee Party

Date:

The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto has finally addressed the big white elephant in the room.

William Ruto, speaking with veteran journalist, Joe Ageyo has let the cat out of the bag saying that he is more than ready to jump ship from the ruling party, Jubilee Party ahead of 2022 when push comes to shove.

The embattled DP who isn’t at “talking terms” with the President, Uhuru Kenyatta since the handshake in 2018 that saw him kicked to the curb out of the government’s crucial proceedings opened up like never before.

Ruto said that David Murathe, Jubilee Party’s vice-chairman is on the front line leading the brokers behind the hijacking of the party.

“Kuvunjika kwa mwiko sio mwisho wa upishi,” was his reply when he was asked what will happen if he loses the control of the party to Murathe.

DP Ruto now says that quitting Jubilee is on the table if he completely loses the control of the ruling party to Uhuru Kenyatta.

“If it becomes completely hopeless and Jubilee is hijacked by these brokers, then the Swahili say kuvunjika kwa mwiko si mwisho wa upishi”.

You can hear the Deputy President referring to the first term of his tenure as UhuRuto and distances himself from the same “mantra” on the second term from Jubilee Party administrations.

Ruto also cornered Joe Ageyo who was clearly biased in asking his questions.
