People Masquerading As Rachel Ruto Steal Millions Of Shillings

Date:

A group of individuals masquerading as deputy president William Ruto’s wife Rachel Ruto have robbed innocent women millions of Kenya shillings

According to reports by a local publication, the criminal detectives have launched a manhunt for these unknown faces who are using the name of Rachel Ruto to be rich.

Apparently, this syndicate is being run by four people, one being a woman and the other three being men. To achieve their goal, residents within Murang’a county revealed that they have been urging villagers to register with 630 Kenya shillings.

Having registered with this amount, they then go ahead to inform the villagers that they would be given 10,000 shillings each for a Christmas gift from Rachel Ruto which would be brought to them on the 24th of December 2021.

Some of the items promised are soft drinks, cooking oil, rice, bundles of maize flour, wheat flour and other house items.

Being a well choreographed idea, a number of women groups in the county of Murang’a went on a lobbying spree in a bid to convince their group members to spare some money and contribute to the noble initiative.

Interestingly, one group which confessed publicly disclosed that they paid to the tune of 100,800 Kenya shillings to the initiative as registration fee without informing their husbands.

To give it legibility and credibility, these women groups argued that the scheme was genuine because of DP William RUto’s frequent tours to the county of Murang’a.

However, a warning would later be raised in local radio stations, something which raised red flags to those that took part in the syndicate dubbed Rachel Ruto.

“I heard on the radio the warning about the scheme, we may have lost our money,” one woman lamented.

While speaking to a local publication, Emmnauel Talam who is William Ruto’s communication chief not only urged women to report the incident to the law enforcers but also dismissed its existence.

“There is nothing like that. Those fraudsters should be reported to the police,” he insisted.

Reports show that more than 1,500 Murang’a residents have fallen victims of the scam raising millions of Kenya shillings. According to the publication, more people are still interested in the thing.
