Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia Names 3 Fatal Flaws That Will Make Raila Defeat Ruto

Date:

Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia has noted that William Ruto is likely to lose to Raila Odinga in 2022 presidential election because of three fatal flaws.

Raila and Ruto are the key contenders in the 2022 presidential race but Kimemia doesn’t support either of them.

However, speaking during an interview on Citizen TV the Nyandarua governor said Raila is likely to defeat Ruto because of three reasons.

He mentioned that Ruto appears to be the most corrupt leader of all the serious presidential candidates in 2022 race.

Kimemia also noted that Ruto has an awful development record unlike Raila. He said the DP is only associated with failed projects such as the Laptops initiative, failed the construction of stadia in each county, and the failed creation of job opportunities for young people on a yearly basis like he promised during past campaigns.

The Nyandarua county boss further pointed out that Ruto lacks sufficient strong political base like Raila.

He explained that Ruto’s only strong base is Rift Valley which he shares with Gideon Moi who is strongly opposed to him.

Kimemia noted that Raila has firm control of Nyanza, Western and Coast and also sizeable support in Nairobi.

He also noted that Ruto can’t entirely depend on Central to fully back him since the region is now divided and the votes could be split among different presidential contenders.

Kimemia supports Musalia Mudavadi’s presidential bid, he is the only governor who endorses him for president. Raila has 17 governors backing him while Ruto has 10.

Raila has the support of all governors from Western except Trans Nzoia governor. They are Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), Wilber Ottichilo (Vihiga) and Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma).

From Coast, Godhana Dhadho (Tana River), Fahim Twaha (Lamu), while Mt. Kenya governors backing Raila include Ndiritu Muriithi (Laikipia) and James Nyoro of Kiambu.

Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu) and James Ongwae (Kisii) are the list of governors who’ve backed Raila from Nyanza region.

Kajiado governor Ole Lenku has also backed Raila’s presidential bid.

For Ruto, he has the support of: Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Moses Lenolkulal (Samburu), Hillary Barchok (Bomet), Samuel Tunai (Narok), Stanley Kiptis (Baringo), John Lonyangapuo (West Pokot), Stephen Sang (Nandi), Turkana’s Josphat Nanok and Migori’s Okoth Obado.

Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri), Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka Nithi), Patrick Khaemba (Trans Nzoia), Martin Wambora (Embu), Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Kiraitu Murungi (Meru) and Nyamira’s Amos Nyaribo are yet to declare who they are backing up.

Machakos governor Alfred Mutua and his Makueni counterpart professor Kivutha Kibwana have declared their own separate presidential interests.

Mombasa governor Hassan Joho wants to contest for president on ODM ticket while his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi is working on a coalition deal with ODM.
