Nyali MP Mohamed Ali Condemns Supreme Court Ruling In Favor Of LGBTQ

Date:

Nyali Member of Parliament, Mohamed Ali, has voiced his strong condemnation of the Supreme Court’s decision to reject an application brought forth by Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma. The application sought to challenge a prior ruling that affirmed the rights of the LGBTQ community to association in Kenya.

MP Mohamed Ali pointed fingers at foreign powers, alleging their involvement in advancing the LGBTQ agenda within Kenya. He claimed that the case was part of a broader effort to promote same-sex rights, suggesting that international influences were steering the direction of Kenya’s legal decisions.

Ali expressed his concerns over what he perceives as the erosion of family and moral foundations within Kenyan society. He believes that the Supreme Court’s decision is the first step towards weakening the moral compass and intrinsic values of Kenya as a nation deeply rooted in faith.

His sentiments echo the concerns of many who worry about the potential consequences of recognizing LGBTQ rights in a traditionally conservative society.

Kenya’s Penal Code, specifically sections 162(a) and (c), 163, and 165, criminalizes homosexuality. Additionally, Ali emphasized the importance of adhering to faith values that consider homosexuality as forbidden.

He cautioned against moving away from these values, suggesting that doing so could lead to the disintegration of core family structures and irreversible mistakes affecting future generations.

Mohamed Ali made it clear that he stands with the people of Kenya in protecting their values, traditions, religions, and laws. He expressed a commitment to safeguarding these aspects of Kenyan society from what he perceives as foreign interference.

“I strongly condemn the Supreme Court’s ruling and will stand by the people of Kenya to protect our values, traditions, religions and Laws that will not be dictated by FOREIGN PLAYERS,” Ali tweeted.
