Kiharu MP of parliament Ndindi Nyoro has criticized the nomination of Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho as the Lands CS in Azimio government.
ODM leader Raila Odinga nominated Joho to the position if the coalition will win the August 9 elections saying that he will deal with the issue once and for all.
“I further nominate Hon Ali Hassan Joho as CS for land to deal with the historical land injustices at the Coast region and within the borders of the Republic of Kenya, once and for all,” Raila said.
Nyoro however said Joho is just a socialite and is not a serious person who is needed to handle land matters.
The lawmaker further said that only a Kenya Kwanza government will be able to deal with the issues that have troubled the country over the years.
“Kenya needs a serious person to look at land reforms & historical land injustices. One family cannot own half of Kenya’s productive land mass, stolen in the name of a willing seller. Only Kenya Kwanza can deal with this, not a socialite like Joho. We are African & Africa is our business,” Nyoro said.
In a separate tweet, Nyoro, a close ally of DP William Ruto, took a swipe at the Jubilee party for failing to produce candidates in the top positions of the Azimio government and further accused president Kenyatta of showing contempt to his tribesmen.
“Jubilee Party in Azimio could not produce a presidential candidate, nor a deputy president, nor Chief minister. This is Uhuru’s legacy, to steal, kill & destroy! Uhuru amefanyania Mt Kenya Madharau sana. He hates Kikuyus. We are African & Africa is our business!” Nyoro said.
