Nigeria has launched the first humanoid robot called Omeife. Omeife can presently speak seven languages, and she hopes to learn as many as fifteen.
Omeife is developed by Uniccon Group at focus will be mainly in arts and science. As the first AI developed robot; this is a huge win for the continent as the world aligns to being a fully functional and automated space.
There are a few things to improve on like speech and lip synchronization, smooth flow to make if function more like a human. Unfortunately, they’ve not shown how Omeife walks, it would be interesting to see that right?
The works done on Omeife are good although she doesn’t seem to be playful or emotional at all but she’s actually very friendly and social.
