Nadia Mukami Opens Up On The Painful Events That Led To Her Being Assaulted On Stage In Busia

Date:

Artists Nadia Mukami and Arrow Bwoy recently welcomed their son and now they are documenting their pregnancy journey.

In a YouTube video shared on Nadia’s channel, the couple also talked about their first pregnancy which they lost on April 12, 2021.

Nadia confirmed that she was pregnant after she started feeling weird and so emotional. Together with Arrow Bwoy, they embraced the journey and began making plans for their unborn child but she miscarried because she was engaging in too many activities.

“The sad part is when our journey was cut short after we had started planning. I was okay doing this and then I had a miscarriage. I was up and down, up and down is an understatement. I lost my baby on April 12th last year,” Nadia said.

The moment she hated being an artist came  after the loss as she was forced to go for a performance in Busia just days after leaving the hospital.

“One thing I can say like juggling miscarriages or child loss and work place it has to be the weirdest place I have ever been. That was the time I wished I wasn’t an artist because I remember I came out of the hospital, you know when you go through cleansing and all the things you still have some trauma like I went through trauma, I went through therapy or is it counseling.

“One thing I will never forget I will never forgive, there is this promoter, it was during lockdown. I got out of the hospital, that promoter from Busia I will not curse him but the Almighty God will remind him. I got out of the hospital and I went for the Busia issue. He had paid for an advance long ago but because of the lock down I could not perform,” Nadia narrated.

Luckily, the lockdown restrictions were lifted giving a chance to artists to perform. Nadia travelled to Busia for the event just about three days after leaving the hospital because the promoter insisted that she had to perform.

“We went there, we were treated badly, the hotel they had booked, even you, a common citizen you can not spend the night there. The hotel was where the trailer drivers park,” she said.

She had to pay for a better hotel so that her team could spend the night in a better place. Nadia performed but after 30 minutes she could not go on leading to the altercation that was highly publicized.

“I tried, I am usually energetic dancing ion the stage, but that day  I could not do all that because I was from the hospital. He called his goon saying that I can not leave the stage after only 30 minutes we almost fought,” Nadia recounted.
