Mudavadi’s Reckless Move That Might Turn Him Into The Biggest Joke Of The Year

Date:

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi might be turned into the biggest joke of the year if the victory of William Ruto is annulled by the Supreme court.

Things might even be worse if Kenyans are forced to repeat general elections and it turns out that Ruto and his team lose in the rerun.

This is because Mudavadi has already declared himself as the Prime CS, following the agreement that was reached in a power sharing deal by Kenya Kwanza politicians.

A spot check across his Facebook page and Twitter account established that his profile has been edited and now reads, “Prime Cabinet Secretary Designate of the Republic of Kenya and ANC Party Leader.”

Mudavadi updated his profile before Ruto is even sworn in as the fifth head of state after which he would have appointed him for the lucrative position. This also comes at a time when his victory is being challenged by 8 presidential petitions. Only one petition is in his favor; that is Moses Kuria’s.

Kuria is seeking to have the Supreme court nullify Raila Odinga’s petition since his chief agent, Saitabao Ole Kanchory and several of his allies were responsible for the chaos that broke out at Bomas of Kenya and troubled IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati from delivering his mandate to the people of Kenya.

On the other hand, Raila and his running mate Martha Karua want the Supreme court to order a fresh tally of the presidential results so that they can be declared as winners of the general election. Their second option is for the supreme court to nullify the election and order a rerun.

Another petition is by newly elected Busia senator Okiya Omtata, who wants the election nullified on grounds that none of the four presidential candidates attained the 50%+1(of the total votes cast) requirement to be announced winner.

Other petitioners are Reuben Kigame, David Ngari, Youth Advocacy Africa, Juliah Chege, Khalifa Khelef and John Kamau.
