“Muanike Mbele Ya Watu,” President Kenyatta Advices Women Whose Husbands Cheat On Them With Young Girls

Date:

President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken a swipe at older men, popularly known as sponsors, for eyeing young girls.

In his message during the World AIDS Day while at Nakuru City, the head of state said that it is a shame to see older men walking with younger girls, not even of their daughter’s age.

President Kenyatta noted that such irresponsible men play a huge role in the spread of the deadly disease.

“Ni aibu sana kwa sisi wazee na viongozi kuskia watoto wetu wakilia kwa sababu ya tabia zetu. Ni aibu kubwa. Ni vizuri tuanze kuambiana ukweli, kwa sababu sio watoto wanajiharibu, ni sisi wazee tunaharibu watoto.(It is a shame to us elders and leaders to hear our children crying because of our behaviors. It is a big shame. It is good that we start telling each other the truth because it is not the children that are spoiling themselves but it is elders),” he said.

President Kenyatta asked the men to look for women of their age if they are tired of their wives.

“If you are tired of the one you have at home, go and look for your age mate, please let the children be,” the president said.

“As an older man you are walking with a girl younger than your daughter and then you call yourself a man, what kind of a man are you?” he posed.

He further asked women to shame such men without any fear and regrets, saying that such a matter needed unity from all members of the community to overcome it.

“If you are aware that your husband has such manners, expose him to the public, the shame will make him quit such behavior,” president Kenyatta advised
