Mike Sonko celebrates his late mum Saumu Mbuvi with a sweet message

Date:

Former Nairobi County governor, Mike Sonko has celebrated the sweetest memories of his late mother, Saumu Mukami Kaimathari Mbuvi. Her mother passed on 2 December 1997. Mike Sonko says, it’s very painful to be left by a parent and especially a mother.

Sonko thanks his mother for everything he has together. He also reveals through her mom, he was able to understand and relate with people easily and feel their pain and struggle.

“Your life made me all that I am and your death made me more sensitive to other people’s pain and suffering.

Secret tears still flow when we think of you. Living without you is almost impossible. In life we loved you, in death we still do.”

For Mike Sonko, it’s a loss he will never overcome. Tears still flow down his cheeks every time he thinks of her. May God comfort everyone today who is grieving the loss of a loved one.

“We thank God for letting us be part of your life. We know you are still with us, watching over us. Your departure changed our lives completely and made us love you even more.

Continue resting in peace mum till we meet again.”

“In loving memory of my lovely mum Saumu Mukami Kaimathari Mbuvi.

It is so painful to loose a mother, it’s exactly 25years since you went to be with the Lord!

I thank God for the time he gave us your children to know and love you.”

Just like Mike Sonko, her late mum was loved by many. In a post seen by SonkoNews, someone who worked with her says;

“Mrs Saumu was my able manager in Standard chartered Bank in Kilindini branch mombasa. She was very instrumental in my career progression. She was a fair team leader as my customer service manager. She was cheerful and a happy soul. It was sad to lose her.I see another of her zeal to serve in her son His excellency Mike Sonko. She served cheerfully with simplicity and fairness. May she rest well.”

Finally, he opens up that he really misses her mother. “Mum continue resting in peace. I love you. I miss you so so much.”
