Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has condemned the deputy president William Ruto as a leader full of scandals on his head.
According to Martha Karua, William Ruto is surrounded by many issues, some of which revolves around chapter six of the Kenyan constitution.
The Narc Kenya party leader also reiterated her earlier sentiments that the second in command is the least qualified compared to all the other presidential aspirants.
“And indeed I hold the view that he is the least qualified and I didn’t come here to discuss his presidency. Those are my personal views, there are very many issues, and some of them surround chapter six. The public issues, public scandals he has been involved in are just too much and I don’t want to go there.” Said Martha Karua on Tuesday while speaking to Citizen TV’s Day Break show.
In the meantime, the Narc Kenya party was on Monday evening appointed the interim Mt. Kenya spokesperson ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Martha Karua was unveiled as the region’s spokesperson in Naivasha where the region’s small parties came together in what was described as an urgent meeting.
Some of the leaders who attended the Monday Naivasha meeting were Gatundu member of parliament Moses Kuria, former Kiambu governor William Kabogo and other notable leaders from central Kenya.
While announcing the news to the public, Gatundu member of parliament Moses Kuria said that they settled on the Narc Kenya party leader to serve as the interim spokesperson.
“The Mt Kenya Unity Forum has today met in Naivasha resolved that the interim convenor and spokesperson for Mt Kenya Region shall be Hon Martha Wangari Karua. It is so decided.” Wrote Kuria.
The Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua is one of those leaders who have maintained that they are determined to consolidate their voices as the Mt. Kenya region in a bid to speak with one voice.
“To expand and reinforce our unity of purpose, which i must emphasize irrespective of political affiliation. We are here to consolidate our voice or the voice of the Mountain so that we be able to chat the way forward in the next dispensation. Today has been a consultative meeting to broaden the unity and this will be an ongoing thing. The doors remain open to others.” Read Martha Karua in a recent statement.
