Vianey who is suffering from scoliosis drinks porridge after every 10 to 20 minutes, and if he is not given the porridge he starts dying.
Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that most often is diagnosed in adolescents. While scoliosis can occur in people with conditions such as cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy, the cause of most childhood scoliosis is unknown.
Vianey was born normal in his native Rwanda, he grew up fine and married his wife Xavelina whom he has eight children with.
One day Vianey woke and all his body parts were not functioning normally. The muscles became very stiff affecting his mobility.
Xavelina was forced to take over her husband’s responsibilities to fend for their family. She also had to do everything for disabled Vianey who couldn’t move by himself.
Since being struck by scoliosis, Vianey only asks for one thing – porridge. He became addicted to porridge that he can’t survive without it.
Vianey never stops taking porridge, he doesn’t even drink water ever since he found himself with the porridge addiction.
Just like drug addicts who suffer anxiety, sweating, vomiting, depression, seizure hallucinations after sudden withdrawal, Vianey experiences similar symptoms when he doesn’t drink porridge in time.
The Rwandan man drinks porridge after every 10 to 20 minutes, and if not given the porridge he literally starts dying.
With Vianey always asking for porridge, his wife has to work extra hard to get the flour to prepare her husband the lifesaving drink.
Vianey is uneducated she can’t find any good job to fend for her family, she has to do menial jobs which pay less than $1 a day.
A GoFundMe Page was started to help Vianey raise money to cater for her disabled husband and her eight children.
