MPesa has been hit by a system hitch causing delays in processing transactions.
Several concerns raised online indicated that payments and other transactions failed to go through leaving thousands stranded.
“MPESA is experiencing delays, and is not able to accept your request. Please wait for 10 minutes before trying again, ” Safaricom sent this message to users.
Safaricom did not immediately publicize the cause of the downtime.
However Safaricom apologized for the inconveniences as services resumed.
