It seems the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is on a mission to make his fifth stab at the presidency possible.
On Friday, the former prime minister received a number of state of the art campaign landcruisers that he will use come 2022.
Apparently, these vehicles were donated by one Mr. Mike Rabar who said that the gifts were just a token of appreciation to Raila Odinga because of what he has done in the past for the Republic of Kenya.
Myke Rabar is one of the prominent faces in Kenya’s corporate world, more so as founder of entertainment and events management company, Homeboyz. The firm has since diversified its offering to become one of fastest growing local brands.
“Your excellency, good afternoon everyone, this is just a token of appreciation for the work you have done in the past, and the essence of this project is to ensure that wherever you go you be heard very loud and clearly. Your message is very important to us as the people who support you. Please use this asset to really propagate your message far and wide. Thank you very much your excellency.” Said the philanthropic billionaire.
At the same time, the opposition leader was given face masks and sanitizers by one Mr. Omollo so that the same would help the people he meets out there given the ravaging effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Your excellency thank you very much and as our leader that has always been with us, i am donating sanitizers, face masks and also we will be at your service to offer any Covid testing free of charge for your team, and we will do this for three months and extend it maybe further as resources come by. Thank you very much and all the best.
On his side, Raila Odinga expressed his utmost gratitude to Mr. Rabar and Mr. Omollo for coming through despite the tough times.
“I want to thank Mr. Rabar and Mr. Omollo on behalf of our party ODM for this kind of generous contribution to the party, we are now in the middle of the elections and there is need to reach out to people to communicate, talk to them clearly and therefore we don’t take these donations for granted. To donate your three vehicles fully equipped with modern state of the art communication equipment that will enable us to clearly talk to our people.” He said.
