Linda Oguttu Takes A break From KTN For Six Months

Date:

Kenya Television Network (KTN) news anchor Linda Oguttu announced that she is taking a break from her work for six months.

Through a tweet, the media personality said that she was taking the step so as to concentrate on football matters after she was appointed to lead of the secretariat at FKF.

“Personal News… I have taken a sabbatical leave from the Standard Group Limited to serve in the FKF Secretariat. Tukutane kwa futa. And mask up and get vaccinated… Hii Covid haitaki mchezo,” Oguttu.

As much as a section of her followers were pleased with the new development, some felt it was not right for her to leave her profession.

“You’re leaving your profession to serve where you have no ideas…come on,you’re better than this,” David Mulwa said.

“A classic example of Kenyans with jobs getting jobs. Kenyans without jobs staying jobless. It’s never about what you know, it’s who you know,” Samwel Njoroge’s comment read.

Bin Abdille wrote, “I hope it will be the best option but I think leaving your job for such a cartel infested field isn’t a good decision. All the same, we wish you well.”

Sports CS Amina Mohammed disbanded the Football Kenya Federation that was under the leadership of former president Nick Mwendwa and appointed a caretaker committee to oversee football matters in the country for six months.

The committee is chaired by retired judge Aaron Ringera and has 15 members aside from the secretariat.

Oguttu will be working alongside Michael Mucheni (Secretary), Lorine Nerea Shitubi (Joint Secretary), Caesar Handa, Habo Mwachiro, Edward Rombo, Hiba Hussein, Gabriel Warigi, Dr Walter Ongeti, Rashid Khamisi Ali Shedu, Hon. Rachael Kamweru and Robin Toskin in the secretariat.
