Retired legendary boxer Mike Tyson has caused a storm on social media after a video of him punching a fellow passenger inside a plane surfaced online.
The incident is said to have occurred on Wednesday night at San Francisco International airport. Tyson had boarded the plane that was enroute to Florida, US.
Witnesses say that he was courteous and nice to passengers. However the male passenger kept pestering him.
Before the punching incident, Tyson posed for a selfie with the man in question. The man sat behind him and kept whispering to the boxer’s ear.
In the video shared online, the passenger could be seen leaning towards Tyson as he repeatedly talked to him.
The boxing champion got fed up with the man’s behavior and requested him to stop it but he kept bothering him.
Annoyed with him, Tyson got up from his seat and dealt with the passenger, punching him multiple times on the face.
The 55-year old then disembarked from the plane and did not board the flight again after the incident.
His representatives however say that the passenger became aggressive and even threw a water bottle at him. The rogue passenger was left with injuries that he needed medical attention.

Reacting to the incident, netizens said that Mike Tyson was one person people should not mess up with.
“While I am not saying Mike Tyson was right in punching dude, if Mike Tyson tells me to leave him alone, I’m going to try to change seats just in case I fall asleep so my snoring doesn’t disturb him,” one said.
The incident also brought up a social media post that the boxer had written a few years ago.
“Social media made folks way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it,” Tyson said.
