An Administration police officer went on a run after shooting her husband twice with an AK-47 rifle for not picking her calls and giving house help Ksh50 without consulting her.
According to the police report, APC Maurine who is based at Kisumu East Sub County shot her husband twice following a domestic quarrel.
Her husband, a clinical officer at Milimani Hospital but lives at Dago Area in Nyalenda, Kisumu, was watching television when his wife returned home from sentry at Kasagam armed with an AK-47.
“She stood at the door while armed with an AK-47 rifle. She told him she is going to kill him and herself then cocked the gun, shot at him twice injuring him on the right side of the head just above the ear,” said the police report.
The neighbors who heard what was happening rushed to the scene of the incident but were turned away after the officer fired in their direction.

“She then disappeared to an unknown place after returning the firearm to her fellow colleague APC Nancy at the office,” said the police.
Her husband was rushed to Kisumu County Hospital where he was treated and later discharged in fair condition
The couple has been married for three years and has a one-year-old son.
The OCS Kasagam, DCIO Kisumu East visited the scene and processed it by the crime scene staff.
On Monday the police confirmed that the suspect was arrested moments after midnight while she sneaked back to her house.
She is currently detained at Kondele Police Station and she is likely to be charged with attempted murder oncer the investigation are complete.
