Woman Causes Drama Outside Milimani Law Courts, Claims CJ Maraga Is A Deadbeat Father

There was drama outside Milimani Law Court on Tuesday afternoon when a woman accused the Chief Justice, David Maraga of neglecting their six-year child.

The woman who was identified as Mary Kwamboka Onyancha told journalists that she net the Chief Justice at a church function back in 2013 and went ahead to start a relationship.

“I met Maraga at a church function in 2013. later on, we started a relationship and traveled to different parts of the country from Nakuru town to Mombasa until we got a child. He then suddenly refused to cater to the child from the beginning of the year,” Mary Kwamboka told reporters.

The woman also told reporters that during the early stage of her relationship with Maraga, they would spend time with the jurist in lavish places.

Despite Maraga being a married man, the lady claimed that the CJ lured her into the relationship saying he was a lonely man since his wife was always not available for him

According to the woman, she had filed a case at the Children’s Department in Makadara but the CJ refused to respond to the court summons compelling her to go to Milimani law court.

From the birth certificate see by the reporters, the minor in question was born on April 21, 2014, at Pumwani Maternity Hospital.

In her demands, contained in the unstamped court documents, Onyancha wants the CJ to provide Ksh 160,000 monthly upkeep for the minor.

The money she needs includes Ksh 41,000  for school fees per term, KSh 45, 000 for rent, KSh 20,000 for medical cover, KSh 20,000 for food, KSh 5,000 for clothing, and KSh 10,000 for a nanny.
