Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Triumph Return After Reinstatement

Date:

Professor Paul Wainaina, vice chancellor for Kenyatta university has made a triumphal comeback following court reinstatement. The chancellor has come out to express his gratitude after the new administration got him reinstated as of Thursday 3rd November 2022, as the head of the higher learning institution.

He commented, “for me to be alive today is a miracle. i knew the fury that was coming with my stand.”

This comes after he the court allowed the government to take up to 410 acres of the institutions land that is reported to be set for international health facilities even though the institution claimed to be having plans for the 1000 acres of land that is still lying unused.

“God used the new government to allow wrongs to be rectified using our fundamentals principles, ” the on going vice chancellor came out to express his happiness.

The professor lost his job on July 12th of this year, following the institutions land tussle that had been going on for months. he had refused on the July 7th to hand over the institutions title deeds even after being ordered to do so by the head of public service Joseph Kinyua.

“The government, its agents or anyone acting on its behalf is hereby restrained from implementing the directive issued by the Head of Public Service on July 7 for the university to surrender the land. They are also restrained from subdividing the land pending hearing of the suit,” following a petition filed by the Law Society of Kenya against attempts to compel the university to cede a portion of its property to the World Health Organization, squatters, and Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital (KUTRH), Justice Angote made the order.

It at first appeared to the professor that the land was being grabbed making him to come out and clear the air around it assuring the public that the land is still intact and the title deed is still with them.
