Kalonzo Says He Is The One Who Gave Uhuru A Job In Kibaki’s Government

Date:

Wiper Democratic Movement leader Steven Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed his role in the life of president Uhuru Kenyatta during the government of former president Mwai Kibaki.

According to Kalonzo Musyoka, he is the one who gave president Uhuru Kenyatta a job through his strong influence in the Kibaki government.

Kalonzo also said that Kibaki was reluctant to appoint Uhuru because he was a fellow Kikuyu but he insisted that he had to appoint him because he was competent. As a result, that is how the current president landed a job in the Kibaki government.

“And btw if you are giving mzee Kibaki credit, would you please spare me only 20% because we all know how close i was with Mwai Kibaki.

“And let me tell you some truth which I am saying for the first time, it was me who convinced mzee Kibaki to appoint president Uhuru Kenyatta the deputy prime minister. Because Mzee Kibaki was a nationalist he told me, “you want me to appoint another Kikuyu?”

At the same time, Kalonzo appealed to the Mt. Kenya Foundation to consider him since he had all the qualities to provide leadership having worked with Mwai Kibaki.

He added that he believes in the 50-50 government that is composed of both men and women, maintaining that it was the only way to ensure that everyone gets an equal opportunity.
