“He Is A 2nd Year Student” Details About Quack Lawyer Brian Mwenda Emerge

Date:

Brian Mwenda has never set foot in any law school but he had been making court appearances and arguing in cases.

According to reports, he has won 26 cases but it is still unclear how long he has been practising the profession without the required papers.

In a tweet shared on Thursday, LSK Nairobi branch distanced itself from the quack lawyer saying that he is not a member of the branch.

“It has been brought to the attention of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT), that the above pictured person has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch. The Branch wishes to notify all members of the society and of the public that BRIAN MWENDA NJAGI is not an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, from the Society’s records, neither is he a member of the Branch.

“Members are encouraged to share any information of any person masquerading as an Advocate for the necessary action,” the statement read.

Fresh details however emerged about the individual in question. According to the Kenya University Students Organisation(KUSO), Mwenda is believed to be a student at Chuka University.

In its verified  X account, KUSO said that he is studying criminology at the institution.

“It’s unfortunate that LSK denounced & publicly distanced themselves from BRIAN MWENDA NJAGI aka ‘Mike Ross’ despite him raising the bar high for the Law Profession, fake or not. KUSO has established, allegedly, that he is a Second Year COMRADE from Chuka University Pursuing Criminology,” KUSO said.

The organisation further hailed Mwenda for the bold step while encouraging others whose degrees haven’t helped them to emulate him.

“He is a true testimony of what hustling means. If your degree or course doesn’t make ends meet, its time to change goal posts. Well done Brian! They said you’re not a member of LSK. Well, you’re a Member of KUSO and we recognize your legal knowledge. Chapa kazi COURT bila uoga. Poverty is the Common ENEMY,” the students’ organization said.

Meanwhile, Mwenda’s case has left Kenyans divided, some arguing that he is a genius and that he shouldn’t be condemned.
