Former Interior Secretary Fred Matiang’i has been notified to appear at the DCI headquarters on Friday.

Detective Michael Sang has instructed Matiang’i to show up before him at Mazingira House at 9.30 a.m. without failure.

The summon is in connection with an alleged police search at his Karen home on February 8th.

“I have reasons to believe that you, Dr. Fred Matiang’i, the former Cabinet secretary, Ministry of Interior and National Co-ordination, is connected to the offence or has information which can assist me in my investigations,” says detective Sang.

The call comes after the high court extended an order outlawing police from apprehending him.

Justice Justus Bwonwong’a stretched the conservatory orders, which were set to expire on Thursday, until April 19, when the matter will be heard.
