Forget About Homecoming, This Is The Truth Behind Miguna Miguna’s Rushed Kisumu Visit

Date:

Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna was on Friday welcomed in Kisumu by various stakeholders led by former county senator Fred Outa.

Upon arrival, Miguna thanked the locals for giving him a heroic welcome even as he castigated certain forces for being behind spreading propaganda that he was not a citizen of the republic of Kenya.

“I am from Kisumu County, the former Nyanza Province. I understand that some cartels and despots claimed that I was not a citizen of the Republic of Kenya,” Miguna slammed officials in the former government, insisting that he will soon pursue justice and file cases against them for witch-hunt

At the same time, Miguna urged for peace as he made it clear that he had come back to his motherland to save his people from the York of political slavery and dictatorship.

“Peace must be based on justice. Peace cannot be based on falsehood,” he stated.

The Kisumu visit by the controversial lawyer came in the wake of forced exile in Canada after he conducted the illegal swearing in ceremony of Raila Odinga as the people’s president at the famous Uhuru Park in March 2018.

Miguna who arrived at the Kisumu International Airport was driven to the ACK Maseno East in the neighbouring Ahero. The service was presided over by Bishop Joshua Owiti.

However, it has now emerged that Miguna Miguna’s visit had nothing to do with homecoming as earlier speculated.

Sources have revealed to Sonkonews that the lawyer’s visit was a well-planned and sponsored event by powerful forces keen on hedging out the Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga from the Luo politics.

According to the source who spoke on condition of anonymity, the visit was purely to test the ground and find out if the lawyer would be turned away by locals for always taking ill of Raila Odinga.

It was believed that Miguna would have a rough time in Kisumu but clearly that was not the case after he was warmly received. Further, the choice of Friday is said to be significant to enable the lawyer hold local meetings with various personalities and politicians in the city, a move believed to be purely political.
