According to reports, Chemtai is said to hail from Laikipia county.

Several leaders graced the event including Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi, former Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer among others.

The move by Nick proves that he is not gay after a video emerged in September last with rumors having it that he was getting engaged to his Indian lover.

Nick, who was turning 30 years old when the video was taken, however came out to deny the allegations saying that receiving gift from a friend either of a similar gender or the opposite does not amount to sexual relationship.

“Build your circle and celebrate each other. If you can, gift your friends the best you can on their special occasions like Birthdays, Anniversaries, weedings e.t.c This will help you understand the value of friendship and comprehend that gifting a friend of same or Opposite gender does NOT amount to Sexual/erotic relationship. Thank you all for your Birthday wishes and gifts,” wrote Nick Ruto.
