Directorate of Criminal Investigation detectives has arrested two doctors and three others at Prestige Health Points Medical Centre for allegedly conducting an illegal abortion.
The DCI officers sad they found 10 decomposing fetuses at the clinic located along Murang’a Road in Nairobi where they arrested Dr. Mwaura Karumbi and Dr. John Marore
The two doctors were arrested alongside Judith Anyanzwa, Erick Mwenda, and Christopher Mwangi.
A policewoman suspected to have procured an abortion was found admitted at the facility which is said to be suspecting without a license.
A senior detective, who seemed anonymity since he was not authorized to seek on the matter, said the officers have been investigating the health facility for a long period before conducting the raid.

The fetuses recovered at the clinic were taken to the morgue.
The police said the suspects will be arraigned in court next week, Monday.
According to the detective, illegal abortions have increased after the reopening of schools because some learners who got pregnant during the closure of schools after the outbreak of the coronavirus are now seeking to terminate the pregnancies before reporting back to school.
