Angry youths beat MP over non-performance and failed promises

A member of parliament from Nigeria was attacked by angry youths who told him that he was underperforming as their representative and that he failed to live up to the promises he made during campaigns.

Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobethe of All Progressives Congress representing Dawakin Tofa/Tofa and Rimin Gado Federal Constituency in Kano State was attacked by angry youth in his constituency, who alleged that he did not deliver the dividends of democracy to them.

SaharaReporters reported that the incident happened on Sunday when Jobe went to inaugurate a project at Gulu, a village under Rimin Gado Local Government Area.

A source said the lawmaker was beaten to a pulp by the youth, who accused him of making false promises for many years.

 

“He was beaten severely by the angry youth;

“They said they attacked him because of his fake promises for many years,” the source said.

Elsewhere a  married man who alleged that his wife has been torturing and maltreating him in the house has finally quit the union.

The man in video confessed that his wife has always been torturing him and treating him like a slave, because of his “status”.

 

He narrated how she lashes out at him, at the slightest provocation, beats him up, and tortures him.

He said he does the dishes, and other home chores because she always threatens to implicate him.

On this particular day, after she unleashed her wrath on him again, he called the police on her, and she also called the police.

The police found out she lied against him, and advised him to pack out and leave the house.
