Ruto’s chief blogger Dennis Itumbi may go down soon after magistrate Mutuku found him guilty of the La Mada Fake letter.
Dennis Itumbi who operates from Deputy President William Ruto’s at some point claimed that he had video evidence of the controversial La Mada hotel meeting where an alleged plot to assassinate William Ruto was discussed.
According to the charge sheet, the two, on or before June 20,2019, published a letter dated May 30, 2019 with intent to cause anxiety to the general public
The social media guru even stated that he was ready to play the video in courts, a request which was vehemently denied by the presiding judge.
According to the controversial blogger, the investigators wanted him to admit that he was behind authoring the said letter before posting it on a WhatsApp forum.
However, he declined that and instead informed the DCI that he had a video recorded at La Mada hotel – which had all those who attended the meeting together with what each individual said at the meeting.
After the La Mada fake letter circulated online, a number of top government officials such as Joe Mucheru ( CS ICT), Sicily Kariuki (CS Health), Peter Munya (CS Trade) and 20 other senior officials recorded statements with regards to the same.
Not only did they deny the accusations by Dennis Itumbi but also termed them as wild and unsubstantiated.
It later emerged that the La Mada letter was drafted at a cyber cafe in Lang’ata area, Nairobi after police turned to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to help with investigations.
In the meantime, the chief blogger blamed the deep state for his woes and wrote the following after the court ruled that he had a case to answer.

Magistrates should have Security of Tenure. Lakini, ni sawa! Mungu Mbele!” Wrote Dennis Itumbi.
