DCI Offers Ksh50 Million Reward For Information Leading To Arrest Of 5 Most Wanted Men In Kenya

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has put a staggering Ksh50 million bounty on the heads of five most wanted men in Kenya.

The five suspects are all wanted for their involvement in terrorism activities, DCI has linked them with Al-Shabaab terrorist group in Somalia and Daesh/Islamic state terrorist group in Mozambique.

Even though the five terrorist suspects are linked with foreign based terrorists groups, they are all Kenyan, most hail from Mombasa and North Eastern.

Foreign terrorists groups has been recruiting radicalized youth in Kenyan who are sent to fight abroad or sometimes used to stage terror attack right here at home.

In the past years Kenya suffered a series of deadly terrorist attacks including Westgate shopping mall attack of 2013 which 71 people were killed, Garissa University College attack of 2015 where 148 people were killed and DusitD2 hotel complex attack of 2019 which 22 people were killed.

DCI is keen to stop any other terrorist attack before it happens. The investigative body is offering a Ksh10 million reward for information leading to arrest of each of the five most wanted men in Kenya.

“WANTED TERRORISTS!! A reward of Sh10 Million will be offered to anyone who volunteers information leading to the arrest of any of the following terror suspects. Dial 0800 722 203 to report anonymously. #FichuakwaDCI Usiogope!” DCI tweeted.

The five has been identified as Salim Rashid Mohamed aka Chotara aka Turki, Trevor Ndwiga aka Idriss Jamal, Muhammad Abubakar alias Minshawary, Elgiva Bwire Oliacha Seif Deen Mohamed aka Japhar Okuku aka Abu Muadh and Barigi Abdikadir Haila.
