DBA Africa Reveals Why They Had To Sever Ties With Africa’s Fastest Man Omanyala

Date:

In the midst of his recent heroics, Kenyan 100M athlete Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala has suffered a major blow to his steady growing career as Africa’s Sports Management Company DBA severs ties with him.

Citing a number of issues that occasioned their withdrawal from associating with the Kenyan sprinter, DBA made it clear that they would still remain grateful for having been part and parcel of what Omurwa is today.

In a statement to newsrooms, Africa’s Sports Management made it bare that they would no longer associate with Omanyala because there are key things between the two that are not compatible at all.

“We are proud to have played a crucial role to make him compete around the continent, resulting in attaining four qualifying times for the Tokyo Olympics games, and achieving many national records and personal best.”

DBA Africa director Lyle Asiligwa said the decision was taken due to lack of shared “focus and vision” between the company and Omanyala.

“Yes, we have parted ways with Omanyala. We don’t share the same values, co-values, and vision.”

Omanyala has been the talk of town in the recent past ever since he featured for the first time for Kenya in the just concluded Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

In the recent past, Omanyala stunned the world as he broke continental record by clocking 9.77 seconds during Kip Keino classic at Kasarani stadium, Nairobi. The time made him come behind America’s Trayvon Bromell by a slim margin of 0.01 seconds.

However, having received global accolades, it is just a matter of wait and see if there will remain a vacuum in his management, or if another team of management will come to help him scale his 100M exploits even higher.
