Canada Sponsors 20 DCI Detectives For New Specialized Training

The Canadian Government through its embassy in Kenya has sponsored 20 DCI Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau detectives for an intensive training on Operational Intelligence, days after another class graduated with a similar training courtesy of the Embassy.

During the course opening earlier today that is being facilitated by experts from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Director DCI acknowledged the expertise showcased by the officers who have previously undertaken similar training, noting that meticulous intelligence analysis had seen many complex cases solved.

In his remarks delivered by the Director Planning Mr Baraza Walumoli, AIG, DCI Chief Mr Mohamed Amin conveyed the Directorate’s compliments to the Canadian Govt, given the high cost of training a single class on the coveted course.

While at it, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Liaison Officer Ms Magdala Turpin expressed her government’s commitment to continue partnering with Kenyan security teams in boosting capacity for operational intelligence, further urging the trainees to draw best practices from their facilitators.
