Boda Boda riders dragged a patient from hospital and lynch him

300 boda boda riders stormed Kimbimbi Sub-County hospital in Mwea and dragged a patient who was being treated in the hospital.

The man, who at the time he was a patient had earlier on confessed of stealing 5 motorbikes in a span of few weeks and he revealed where he had stashed them.

The lynched patient revealed that he stashed the motorbikes in Murinduko.
When the riders went to Murinduko, there were no bikes. So they came, grabbed him, and murdered him.

According to Nyangati Senior Chief Immaculate Wanjiru the deceased was saved by police officers Thursday evening on the Mwea-Embu highway from a civilian who wanted to kill him for reportedly stealing a motorbike.

He was rushed to the hospital after the attack with serious injuries only for the boda boda riders to come back at him to finish the work the aforementioned civilian had started,
Boda Boda riders frog marched him 30 kilometers away from the hospital premises and lynched him, they burnt his body.

Police officers said they were not prepared at the time to respond appropriately.

The body of the deceased which was burnt beyond recognition was picked by police officers from the Kianyaga police station and moved to the Kerugoya Hospital Mortuary.
