“Baba Loves Me So Much” Jalang’o Reveals Raila Funded His Campaigns With Kshs5 Million

Date:

Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor has insisted that he did nothing wrong in meeting with president William Ruto.

Speaking in an interview at TV 47, Jalang’o also noted that his former party leader Raila Odinga has also met the president.

“Who has not met the president, Baba himself has met the president. People would say that Baba is Baba and can meet anyone . Jalas is also Jalas he can also meet whoever he wants to meet,” he told Willis Raburu.

He went ahead and speak highly of Raila narrating how he financially supported him during the campaigns of 2022 elections

“Even my campaigns could have been very hard, and I know the big role Baba played in me being a member of parliament, he supported me by not only endorsing me. But also financially, we are the few people that one day Baba told us to plan something, and he said he would come and grace it to support us in the elections, and he gave me personally Ksh 5 million,” the former comedian revealed.

According to him, Raila’s support is what saw him beat the then sitting MP Nixon Korir.

“It was fiery, it is not easy to beat an incumbent MP with the resources and everything, baba supported me,” Jalang’o said.

He added that Raila loves him  and that he is his son.

“Baba knows very well, that Jalang’o is his son, baba loves me so much, but the truth is, when politics takes over even the love and betrayal, politics is a game of chance, a snowball,” he noted.

Jalang’o is among five ODM members who were kicked out of the party on September 6, because of their association with President William Ruto.
The others are; Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda, Suba South  MP Caroli Omondi, Elisha Odhiambo and Gideon Ochanda (Bondo)
