COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has declared that there will be no other political gathering in Western on December 31.
That is the date that Atwoli will be hosting a huge conference at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega county whereby he will be giving a political direction for the Luhya community.
The COTU boss warned those who have plans of disrupting the Bukhungu meeting of dire consequences.
“I want to assure you that there shall be no other gathering on the 31st of December apart from Bukhungu in the whole of Western province. If you are a man or woman, don’t try to use other people’s children. Come yourself and you will see why the donkey does not grow horns,” Atwoli said during the inspection of Bukhungu stadium.
Aside from that, Atwoli insisted that next year’s presidential election is a two horse race, simply translating that the contest will be between DP William Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga, while claiming that there is no leadership in One Kenya Alliance (OKA) because they are yet to select a flag bearer.
“OKA is a snake with no head or tail because there is no leadership in OKA. We can’t wait to be late there yet the horses are two,” Atwoli said.
He urged ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi to be firm in his political ambitions since he is the Kingpin of the Luhya community.
Atwoli went ahead to invite Mudavadi to the Bukhungu meeting while saying that he can not be sidelined.
“In 2016, we gave Musalia Mudavadi the seat. We have not quarreled with him, we have even invited him but he should stop fearing. If you are given something, move forward. He has neither organized the BBI homecoming nor Kakamega meeting,” he said.
At the same time, Atwoli cautioned Mudavadi over being influenced by Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala.
“He is our child. He should stop being misused by Malala because Malala is with William Ruto and is on business.
