What Uhuru’s Cabinet Leave Means

Date:

President Uhuru has established a clear Pattern in his dealing with Reshuffles- sending everyone on Leave, then recalling them for a week and eventually sacking or retaining  his team

On December 2, 2017 weeks after the repeat elections, President Uhuru issued a memo to all Cabinet Secretaries to prepare handover notes, hinting at the possibility of unveiling his second-term cabinet soon.

In 2017, Analysts said that the directive was procedural to facilitate a smooth transition for the various ministries in the event of a major reshuffle.

Many experts predict that a new cabinet shall be announced by the 10th day of September.

Though the Memo released on Saturday did not talk about Hand Over, talk has been rife about major changes. It has been highly expected that all the Ruto Allies will be dropped in the new changes.
