The bizarre incident happened on Saturday a village in West Pokot.
The man’s father said that his son was too drunk when he bit the reptile.
“My son was drunk. A snake entered our home and bit him. He later bit the snake into pieces. His condition was serious when we took him for treatment.”
A doctor at a hospital nearby told sonkonews.com that the man was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state. He was discharged on Saturday after treatment.
Villagers nad eyewitnesses say the man saw a black-colored snake at his farm and, in his stupor, bit the snake. It died a little while later.

And according to the doctor who attended to him, the man might have panicked and lost consciousness after he realised that he had bitten a snake.
“It was venomous and if it had retaliated or if any portion of its venom had entered his bloodstream, it could have been fatal for him,” said the doctor.
