Coca-Cola Pulls Down Paid Adverts From Social Media

Starting July 1, you won’t be able to see any advert from The Coca-Cola Company from all social media platforms for at least 30 days.

According to Statement from James Quincey, Chairmen, and CEO of the Atlanta based company, the management will take the break to reassess their advertising standards and policies.

“Starting on July 1, The Coca-Cola Company will pause paid advertising on all social media platforms globally for at least 30 days. We will take this time to reassess out advertising standards and policies,” a statement from James Quincey Chairman and CEO, The Coca-Cola read.

During the same period, the company will determine whether revisions in their advert are needed internally and what more it should expect of its social media partners to rid the platforms of hate, violence, and inappropriate content.

The company’s CEO also added that it will let its social media partners that it will let them know that it will expect greater accountability, action, and transparency from them.
