Olunga Scores As Kenyan Footballers Shine In The Foreign Leagues

Date:

Kenya midfielder Richard Odada’s Grafica has been promoted to Serbian top-flight football league after the team comes second in the Prva Liga (Second division).

Odada’s team came second in the second tire with 54 points, the same points as league winners Cajetina to earn automatic promotion to the top league. The midfielder joined the Serbian club on a six-month loan from parent club Red Star Belgrade who have already been crowned league champions and will present the county in the next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Richard Odada will now return to his parent club as he seeks an opportunity in the first team ahead of the new season. Grafica act as the official feeder club for Partizan.

Harambee Star goalscorer, Michael Olunga featured at the weekend for the Japan top side, Kashiwa Reysol, and won 4 -2 against their rivals Consaddole Sapporo. In the match, striker Olunga opened his J1 League maiden campaign with a brace.

In Sweden, midfielder Erick Johanna managed to play 80 minutes for Sodra as they recorded a 2-1 win against Ljungskile on Tuesday.
