Winnie Odinga Comes Clean On Engaging In A Fiery Exchange With Raila’s Loyal Supporter Over His Retirement

Date:

Winnie Odinga has faced a backlash online after she allegedly engaged in an altercation with Lawyer Donald Kipkorir, a staunch supporter of her father Raila Odinga.

Trouble began when Kipkorir shared a tweet asking Raila to stop looking out for Kenyans as William Ruto takes over the leadership of the country.

“Dearest Raila Odinga, tomorrow(Tuesday) begins Presidency of H.E William Ruto. From the depths of my heart, I beseech you stop crying for us. Don’t look out for Kenya anymore. Your love was unrequited. We didn’t deserve your love & sacrifice. Let’s be with our foibles & chains. GODSPEED,” the lawyer said.

Responding to the tweet, Winnie said, “Shut up for once” thus prompting Azimio bloggers as well as supporters to mercilessly descend on her accusing her of being responsible for Raila’s failure to win in the August 9 general elections.

“Winnie Odinga should be the last person to EVER speak! She is 70% the problems that bedeviled Azimio La Umoja. If we speak, Twitter will be UNGOVERNABLE. We are holding our peace, I mean my words.

“I never saw Uhuru Kenyatta’s children or William Ruto’s children interfering with their respective Presidential campaigns. Is as those children don’t even exist! Absolute decorum and Respect! I don’t want to speak of Winnie Odinga right now. But I shall. It is the same Winnie Odinga who brought to Azimio La Umoja secretariat the failed Journalist, Dennis Onsarigo,” Abraham Mutai tackled her.

“You think we don’t know your involvement in this campaign? Do you think we are afraid to tell everyone how you sabotaged your own father’s campaign? We will! Give us a minute,” another Azimio supporter said.

Winnie has however come out to distance herself from the standoff saying that her account had been hacked, meaning that she was not responsible for the fiery exchange.

“Twitter hacked. Got it back. Everyone can take it easy now,” she said.
