Raila Odinga Mentions Three Roles That President Uhuru Will Play In His Government

Date:

The former Prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga is out of the country for an official trip to the United Kingdom.

While in London, the ODM leader met with several leaders including the UK’s minister of armed forces James Heappey.

Odinga was also interviewed by BBC where he explained why he was once again vying for presidency yet during the last election he said that was his last attempt in his dream to become the head of state.

“In the last elections you said that that was your last time, you have come back again, you called it your last bullet, people are asking how many bullets do you have?” the interviewer posed.

“That was the last bullet in the gun, but that does not mean that the gun does not have a machete. For soldiers when the bullets are finished, they use the machete. Other times that can be finished but you have the bow and arrow,” Odinga responded.

A visibly Exhausted Odinga also denied claims that the handshake between him and president Kenyatta killed the opposition in the country.

“It is not true, I have not been in government, I don’t even get a coin from the government Uhuru and Ruto. We are doing just as it is done in this country, here it is called her Majesty’s loyal opposition. Opposition is not just for the sake of opposing but you point out what is bad and give solutions,” Odinga said.

The ODM leader further admitted that President Kenyatta will help him once he ascends to power while listing some of the things that the head of state will do under his administration.

“He will help me with advice. We can exchange ideas just as I have been advising him. We can do business and also he can take up foreign roles as I have been doing at the AU etc. There are many roles that Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta can take up once he retires from politics,” Odinga stated.
