Boost For Harambee Stars As Mali Confirms Absence Of Key Player

Date:

Harambee Stars have gotten a boost in their Thursday night World Cup qualifier match against Mali.

This comes after Mali national team confirmed the absence of their key player Yves Bissouma was arrested on Thursday at the Arch bar in Brighton, England. The Brighton midfielder was arrested on allegations of sexual harassment.

His arrested could strike a ray of home among Kenyans as Harambees look forward to dominating Malian midfield in his absence.

Both teams have played two games in Group E of the World Cup qualifiers and each has only scored a goal in the competition.

The teams have struggled to find score goals since the kick-off of the World Cup qualifiers and Mali is looking forward to defending its place at the top of the group while Kenya is hoping to qualify for the 2022 World Cup by either winning the game or coming out with a draw.

With regards to FIFA ranking, Mali is better than Kenya as Mali is ranked at 61 while Kenya is ranked 102.

Mali is currently at the top of Group E with four points with Kenya and Uganda following in positions two and three with two points and Rwanda sits last with a point.

Kenya will play against Mali in Morocco today, Thursday at 10 pm with the return leg awaiting them three days later in Nairobi.
