Presidential Assistant Faruk Kirunda hit back at the priest, accusing him of hypocrisy and abuse of the pulpit by mixing religion with partisan politics.

“People determine their leaders, who are Mugisha to question their wisdom…,” Kirunda said as reported by Ugandan publication, The Daily Monitor.

The priest is reportedly also wondered why the state proposes to construct roads in the neighboring DR Congo yet there are many or roads in Uganda.

When contacted by the publication to respond to the video, the youthful man of God said: “I can hardly add to what I said. The message was very clear. What I can tell you now is that I  gave that message while  talking to people in Kyotera District.”

He urged the youths to achieve a degree of control over their destiny by voting in new leaders to the office.

“These people [in government]  are buying off all the land in your area because they hold offices, where they can easily access taxpayers’ money and you can’t recognize this,” he said as quoted by the Daily Monitor.
