Manchester United legend has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, as reported by several news outlets.
His representatives said he denied all the allegations of assault that were made against him and is co-operating with the authorities.
Greater Manchester Police said, the 46-year-old Wales manager on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault and bailed pending further investigations.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) said Ryan Giggs will no be part of the Wale’s three scheduled November games with assistant coach Robert Page poised to take charge.
The association also called off a press conference that was planned for Tuesday where the football manager was due to announce his squad for the upcoming games =.
The announcement has now been pushed to Thursday.
The FAW noted that it was “aware of an alleged incident involving the men’s national team manager Ryan Giggs”.
“The Football Association of Wales and Ryan Giggs have mutually agreed that he will not be involved in the upcoming international camp,” FAW said in a statement.
“Our agreed immediate priority is preparing the team for the upcoming international matches.
“Robert Page, with Ryan’s support, will take charge for the next three matches against the USA, Republic of Ireland and Finland supported by Albert Stuivenberg.”
A statement released on behalf of Giggs said: “He is co-operating with the police and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigation.”
Greater Manchester Police said it received reports of a disturbance at an address in Worsley, Salford on Sunday.
The police report said a woman in her 30s “sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment”.
