4 Basic Things That ‘Wanjiku’ Wants The Government To Do On Mombasa Road

Date:

A concerned Kenyan who identified him/herself as CJ has complained about what looks like the  government’s move to neglect Mombasa Road.

According to the concerned Mombasa Road citizen, the government has put all focus on the Nairobi expressway forgetting that Mombasa Road is in existence and it is also used by citizens.

From his/her call, it seems that the government’s move to construct the expressway messed up Mombasa a great deal and the concerned citizen is requesting the government to do four things on Mombasa Road.

First, the citizen wants the government to return  the three lanes on each side of the road as it used to be.

“We had an even 3 lane on each side of the highway, kindly give us , we paid for it,” the Mombasa Road citizen wrote.

Aside from that, he/she said that there were walkways on each side of the highway that had been properly done that should be returned,

“We had street lights and now it seems that only the expressway has the right to have street lights , kindly return our street lights,” the citizen further said adding that footbridges are also necessary on the highway

“The social impact of your lack of courtesy and planning is astonishing. Kindly know that Kenyans live on both sides of the road and work on the opposite and that we need footbridges in at least 9 points  from Airtel to Mlolongo as DP always says ‘wacheni madharau’ not everyone drives.

The citizen further called out the leading media houses in Kenya for not highlighting such a crucial matter as he/she called upon Kenyans to send home all the sitting MPs.

“The media in Kenya- Nation Media Group, Royal Media, Standard Group et al, kindly aid in highlighting this careless treatment of citizens by the government. Your silence and complicity in this is astonishing. As for our MPs, the quicker we dump them the better, the whole lot of them, regards,” the Kenyan said.
