Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Marakwet has reacted a few hours after Jubilee Secretary-General hinted kicking out the Deputy President, William Samoei Ruto as the deputy party leader.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Murkomen expressed disbelief after learning of Raphael Tuju’s intensions of kicking out the DP, William Ruto from the Jubilee Party, and barring him from the party’s headquarters in Pangani.
Senator Murkomen who is a Lawyer by profession insisted that neither the President not the Secretary-General, Raphael Tuju has the powers to remove William Ruto from his post in the party at least according to the party’s constitution.

According to the legislator, the constitution(Article 33) can only be amended through a referendum.
Murkomen urged Kenyans to not take seriously what Tuju said on his official statement.
“Jubilee Constitution provides in Art.33 that Deputy President of Kenya HE. WS Ruto is the Deputy Party Leader of Jubilee. No person, the organ can change that unless the Constitution is amended or Conduct National Elections. Treat Tuju’s lamentations just like a donkey breaking wind!” read his tweet.
