Lawyer Onesmus Masaku whose hands were slashed by a police officer has died at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
According to the LSK chairman Southeastern branch Justus Mutisya, the advocate succumbed to the injuries at KNH where he was receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, police Constable Nancy Njeri who is believed to have slashed his hands is still in custody at Wote Police Station as investigations into the matter continue that occurred on October 7, 2020.
The Police Constable, who is stationed at Makueni Police Station is being accused of slashing lawyer Masaku’s hands at his house.
Earlier reports indicate that the police were trying to protect Njeri from the case.
The report by the police indicates that the lawyer allegedly tried to rape Njeri when she slashed his hands while trying to defend herself.

According to Daily Nation, Njeri and the lawyer had been involved in a lover’s quarrel when the incident occurred.
Over 10 advocates including the LSK President Nelson Havi and his deputy Caroline Kamende are representing their fallen colleague Onesmus Masaku.
