Deputy President William Ruto told Jubiless members pushing for Raila Odinga’s presidency to leave the party.
While speaking at PrideInn Hotel in Shanzu Mombasa to Muslim clerics on Saturday, the deputy president said those in Jubilee supporting a candidate from any party including Jubilee are going against party principles.
“If your candidate your is in Orange House, what are you doing in Jubilee? Go to Orange House!” said Ruto as reported by The Star.
Ruto was responding to his critics who were calling for his resignation from Jubilee and his Deputy President position.
Some of the people calling for Ruto’s resignation include Jubilee vice chair David Murathe and Nyeri Town Ngujiri Wambugu.
Ruto urged his party members to undergo persecution for backing him to hold on strong.
The DP said the threat by “conmen” in Jubilee was just cowardice tactics to try and rattle genuine members.
“These people don’t talk on behalf of the Government of Kenya. They are conmen. Don’t be cheated by them,” said Ruto.
According to Ruto, the road salvation, there must always be hurdles that will eventually come to pass.

While referring to the theft of billions of shillings in COVID funds he stated some immoral individuals are too drunk with power and are now shouting the loudest yet they have stolen funds meant for the sick.
“Kemsa today has billionaires because of the corona. Don’t you have shame? Aren’t you humane?” Ruto posed.
At the meeting, Ruto was accompanied by some coastal leaders including MPs Mohammed Ali (Nyali), Khatib Mwashetani (Lunga Lunga), and Shariff Athman (Lamu East), former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, Sheikh Juma Ngao, among others.
