The former house help of Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi is calling upon him to take up his responsibility and fend for his child.
According to the house help, Wamatangi raped her back in 2006 and she got pregnant but the senator has refused to provide for his daughter.
“He raped me in 2006 and I got a child. I have been fighting for the rights of the child without success,” she said.
The matter has been taken to court from time to time until she has depleted her resources and can no longer fight with the senator.
“We have been struggling with her education, taking him to court, the court makes rulings but he has been ignoring and I don’t have the ability to pursue him, I am strained because I only survive on menial jobs,” she said.
She says that she is afraid if her daughter is not educated she will end up like her and go through the traumatizing situation that she also went through.
The girl did her KCPE exams and she performed very well but her mother is unable to meet the required amount of school fees for the high school that she has been called to join.
“I want her to be educated. She had done her exams and performed well. She has been called to Statehouse girls high school. I can’t manage paying for the school fees. I am calling upon the government to intervene,” she said
“I am telling you senator Wamatangi, take up your responsibility and feed and educate your child because it is her right,” she added
The Kiambu based woman however said that Wamatangi will not escape the hand of the Lord as he has managed to escape that of the law while wishing that he does not make another person’s child go through her experience.
“God will deal with you if you refuse to take up your responsibility. You can escape the law but not God . Am requesting that you never do to someone else’s child like you did to me. All my life I have been thinking about the incident and how I will help this child,” she sais in tears.

In her narration about 7 years ago, she said that the incident took place at Wamatangi’s home, moments after his wife had left for work. The child was born April 2007 at Nazareth hospital.
Wamatangi is yet to give his comment.
